  • Part-Time Opportunities

    Swim Team Coach

    Club aquatics facilities include three pools: adult-only, family and toddler. We offer robust instructional programming, swim league and individual lessons. We're seeking to hire Assistant Swim Team Coach & Swim Instructor for our seasonal junior swim team. Must be available for weekly meets. Experience working with youth swimmers preferred. Candidate must also be able to provide private swim instruction. Swim team schedule is as followed, though other group programming and private instruction can fill in around these times.

    • Monday-Friday practice 8:00AM-11:30AM
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evening practice
    • 5:00PM-7:30PM
    • Wednesday Meets: 4:00PM-10:00PM
    • Friday Coaches Meeting: 11:30AM-1:30PM

    Children's Activities Coordinator

    This position will work directly with the Sports, Events, and Food and Beverage departments at the club. The Children’s Activities Coordinator will work to promote all aspects of the children’s activities at Glenmore, be a service oriented individual, be a team player, and help the growth of the Glenmore club experience.

    Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

    • Working directly with Director of Sports/Food and Beverage Manager, depending on activity scheduled
    • Coordinate and manage a calendar of activities for events
    • Coordinate and direct program assistants
    • Communicate with parents as needed
    • Communicates with special guests as needed
    • Maintains daily attendance records
    • Must be creative with activities when weather situations arise.
    • Must be able to lead and organize groups of children up to 25
    • Must be able to react quickly, calmly, and appropriately in an emergency situation.

    Requirements

    • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification must be active
    • Lifeguard Certification a plus but not a requirement

    Compensation

    • Starting Hourly Compensation - $20.00 per hour
    • Staff meals

    Additional

    • Position will be required to be onsite for rain days as well.
    • Hours and responsibilities are subject to change based on season, weather, and program numbers.
    • Weekend and holiday hours will be required
    • Additional hourly opportunities available

    Group Exercise Instructor (Zumba, Pilates, Spin/Cycle, Yoga, etc.)

    We're currently seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to join our fitness team.

    Individual must be prompt, creative, energetic, and be willing and able to work with a variety of ages and fitness levels. Instructor must be knowledgeable in supplying modifications to those in need and be able to engage all participants. Instructor will be responsible for setting up workout programs and maintaining class records and attendance. All certifications and formats welcome. Currently looking to add more AM classes, but will consider other offerings.

    The Club at Glenmore offers a fully equipped fitness studio for class use. Instructor will report directly to Sport Program Manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Required certifications: CPR, national group exercise certification (specialty certifications included).
    • At least one year of experience instructing in the health & wellness setting preferred.

    COMPENSATION:

    Seasonal Lifeguards

    We're seeking two to three more certified lifeguard staff as we gear up for the 2022 season. Note that one of our three pools is heated, so our season runs longer than most other outdoor facilities. Availability during the spring/fall shoulder season is great but not required. Compensation will be generous by industry standards.

    Duties include:

    • Monitor and supervise aquatic activities
    • Ensure that all present adhere to the rules (including social distancing) to prevent injuries and accidents
    • Respond to any emergencies calmly and professionally
    • Proactively identify any safety issues
    • Open and close the pool when needed, depending on schedule and hours
    • Monitor weather reports to ensure safety of guests and quickly clear the pool if needed
    • Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool
    • Provide general assistance to patrons and other staff when appropriate or necessary.

    Seasonal Golf Course Maintenance Workers

    Come work outside in a beautiful environment! The Club at Glenmore is a private country club with golf, swimming, racquet sports and equestrian facilities about five miles east of Charlottesville on 250. We are looking for seasonal golf course maintenance workers for this season (now until approximately 12/1). Successful candidates are welcome to return for next season.

    Pay is $12/hour to start and there is no experience necessary. Experienced candidates are welcome to apply, but we're happy to train anyone who's enthusiastic and reliable no matter their experience level.

    This can be a full-time or part-time position, please let us know what you'd prefer when applying. Availability during the morning hours is best. Some weekend work will be required.

    Server

    The food service team members at Glenmore play an integral role in ensuring our members and guests have exceptional dining experiences. We are in search of food server(s) and food runner(s) for both full and part time positions. The right person will be passionate about food and service. The ideal candidate will be a professional, dynamic employee and have a friendly, outgoing disposition.

    Responsibilities included but not limited to:

    • Greet members and guests in a timely, friendly manner
    • Learn and understand the food/beverage menu offerings
    • Practice good work ethics including good listening habits

    Line Cook
