  • Part-Time Opportunities

    Lifeguard

    We are seeking certified lifeguards for our pool staff as we gear up for the 2024 season. Must be at least 17 years old to apply.

    Duties include:

    • Have and maintain a current CPR certification
    • Monitor and supervise aquatic activities, on the stand and off
    • Ensure that all members and guests adhere to pool rules to prevent injuries and accidents
    • Respond to any emergencies quickly, calmly, professionally, and appropriately
    • Proactively identify any safety issues
    • Open and close the pool when needed, depending on schedule and hours
    • Monitor weather reports to ensure safety and quickly clear the pool if needed
    • Maintain a clean environment in and around the aquatics facility
    • Provide general assistance to members, guests, and other staff when appropriate or necessary.

    Assistant Swim Coach and Swim Lesson Instructor

    We are seeking an Assistant Swim Coach for our seasonal Jefferson Swim League swim team, the Glenmore Tornadoes. This is a position that runs for seven weeks, with each week being a commitment of +/- 30 hours. Must be available for weekly Wednesday night swim meets. Experience working with youth swimmers preferred. CPR certification required. Candidate must also be able to provide private swim instruction as requested, in coordination with other coaches and swim instructors. Private individual instruction hours are based upon demand and the swim team schedule is as followed:

    • Monday-Friday practice 8:00AM-11:30AM
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evening practice 5:00PM-7:30PM
    • Wednesday Meets: 4:00PM-10:00PM
    • Friday Coaches Meeting: 11:30AM-1:30PM

    Compensation is a stipend for swim team coaching and activities, plus a competitive commission percentage on all swim instruction given. In total depending on the demand for lessons, it should add up to $2,500-3,500 for the seven weeks. Daily staff meals are included as well.     Head Lifeguard

    We are seeking a Head Lifeguard for our pools as we gear up for the 2024 season. Must be at least 18 years old to apply. CPR/AED and lifeguard certification must be current.

    The position could be either full-time for one person, or part-time for two people. Please let us know if you have a preference. Our aquatics facilities consist of three pools (family, adult and toddler) and the largest one (family pool) is heated so our season is extended early in the spring and late in the fall, as much as allowed by weather. If you can only work summers, that’s fine, but if you can also work before Memorial Day and/or after Labor Day please let us know.

    Must have strong interpersonal skills, be engaging with members, have an understanding of pool facility and equipment maintenance, and communicate clearly with staff members. An understanding of pool safety for all ages is essential. CPR/AED and lifeguard certification must be current. Position will be working and communicating directly with the Sport Program Manager, along with the Director of Sports and Racquets.

    • Opening and closing the Family, Adult, and Baby pools
    • Assist with the training of any new guard staff on pool operations – maintenance, cleaning, etiquette, etc.
    • Maintain safe conditions on the pool decks at all times and advising manager/maintenance of any safety related issues
    • Direct the cleaning of the facilities (including restrooms), furniture, and equipment
    • Ensure all pool fixtures – diving boards, guard stands, etc. – and pump equipment are in good working order at all times and advises manager/maintenance of any repair needs
    • Communicates with Food and Beverage Director/Snack Bar staff to help maintain service standards as needed
    • Enforces pool rules to ensure the safety and convenience of members and guests
    • Conduct self in a professional, friendly, helpful and courteous manner
    • Communicates to the lifeguarding staff on behalf of facility manager/ownership and communicates to the facility manager/ownership on behalf of the lifeguarding staff.

    Line Cook

    We are currently seeking a Line Cook with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a passion for cooking.

    A successful candidate should have 3+ years’ experience in sautéing, grilling and general operation/management in a fast-paced fine-dining environment. Main duties will be food production and plating up of lunch and dinners for an a la carte cooking line. Other duties will include assisting in the production and plate up for our on-site weddings/events facilities.

    A safe-serve certification desirable. We offer a great working environment, and room for advancement and professional development for the right applicant—plus no late nights! Food service at the club closes at 8 or 8:30, depending on the season.

    Kitchen Porter

    A successful candidate should have some experience in professional kitchen environments. Main duties include washing dishes, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas and helping with food prep work and delivery. Other duties will include assisting in the production and plate up for our on-site weddings/events facilities.

    The food service team members at Glenmore play an integral role in ensuring our members and guests have exceptional dining experiences.
