Michelle DeLang Conner
Membership & Marketing Director
Michelle brings a 20+ year background in CVille broadcast media, promotions and advertising sales management. Her community service includes leadership roles with Albemarle County Schools’ Special Education Advisory Committee, The Paramount Theater, MACAA, The ziMS Foundation and most notably an annual golf outing from 2000-08 that raised $750k for UVA’s Children’s Hospital, in gratitude for that organization saving her son’s life. Michelle earned a BA in Rhetoric & Communications and Government & Foreign Affairs from UVA and interned under Coaches George Welsh and Jeff Jones from 1990-92. A tennis player and life-long fan of the game, Michelle has been to two Grand Slams with two more - Wimbledon and the Aussie Open - still to go on her "bucket list.”
Tyler Rae Collinson
Event Sales & Social Media Director
Tyler Rae joined the Glenmore team in 2019 after relocating from Southern California right after touring SE Asia for 5 months including: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia & Hong Kong. Tyler Rae has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing & Communication from Arizona State University. She is fond of sports, fitness, the outdoors and relaxing with a good book in hand. Having recently celebrated her own nuptials, Tyler Rae is excited to talk weddings with brides-to-be.
Director of Golf
Jack moved to the Charlottesville area at age 4, when his father John accepted the golf professional position at Farmington Country Club. After graduating from Albemarle High School with the 1975 State Team Golf Championship, Jack attended Georgia Southern College on a golf scholarship. In 1985 he received his Class-A PGA status and became the head golf professional at Lake Monticello Golf Club where he served from 1985-1996. Jack served as director of golf instruction for the city of Greensboro at Bryan Park from 1996-1997 and moved to Goldsboro, N.C., as head professional at Walnut Creek Country Club from 1998-2005, then Director of Golf at Spring Creek Golf Club until May of 2010. Jack has been Director of Golf at Glenmore since May 2010 and is looking forward to a promising future at our spectacular facility. Jack became a PGA master professional in 1995 and is strongly committed to teaching the game of golf.
Director of Golf Instruction
Bill is a PGA and Jim McLean Certified Instructor who works with players of all skill levels. Bill’s students range from total beginners to PGA Tour Players. On top of having given hundreds of lessons using Science & Motion Puttlab, Bill is also TPI Certified, US Kids Certified, and a PING Certified Clubfitter. A graduate of Furman University, Bill worked at several clubs in the Atlanta area before teaching under Jim McLean at McLean's Golf School at Doral. Before joining the team at Glenmore, Bill served as Director of Instruction at Spring Creek.
Assistant Golf Professional
Andrew grew up near Frederick, MD and has been in love with the game from an early age. A strong competitive record growing up led into a career by studying Professional Golf Management at Coastal Carolina University while also earning his degree in Marketing. As a new member of the PGA of America, he is excited to start his career at Glenmore CC.
Golf Course Superintendent
Kevin began playing golf at a young age and it still remains one of his favorite pastimes. Kevin joined our team as Course Superintendent in 2010 after working for Farmington CC in Charlottesville. When you drive around Glenmore’s golf course and admire its beauty, that is a huge tribute to Kevin’s hard work and knowledge of our facility. In his offtime, he likes to bring his son to Glenmore to practice and play golf. A graduate of Va Tech, Kevin enjoys watching college sports, particularly when the Hokies are playing.
Director of Tennis
Mark is a certified USPTA Elite Tennis Professional, a PPTA Platform Professional, a member of the USTA National Junior Development Team, and USTA National Junior Tournament Director. Responsibilities at Glenmore include oversight of the Racquet Sports facilities and programs, the Fitness facilities, staff, and programs, and oversight of the pool area and camp programs. Mark has been a member of the Glenmore Team since 2014.
Assistant Tennis Professional
One of Glenmore’s own, Colin spent his childhood learning to play tennis right here where he is now overseeing our Youth Tennis Program. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Colin joined the staff in 2016 after taking a year to travel the world. A USPTA level 1 certified Tennis Professional, APTA certified Platform Tennis Professional, and USTA Tournament Director, Colin oversees our Men’s Tennis, Youth Tennis and Pickleball programs.
Frederick Nussbaum CEC, CCA
Frederick watched Julia Child and Emeril Lagasse growing up which inspired him to pursue becoming a Chef. With over 20 years in the culinary industry he is a graduate of both the Greenbrier apprenticeship program and Pennsylvania Culinary institute. Frederick is a Certified Executive Chef and Certified Culinary Administrator through the American Culinary Federation and is passionate about helping the next generation of culinary professionals grow and develop in the industry, serving as the Vice President of the local ACF Chapter as well as on the advisory board for PVCC’s culinary program. Although he is happily settled down here in Charlottesville, he does dream of traveling to Paris one day with his family.
Food & Beverage Director
Thomas is from Normandy, France, specifically a city called Rouen. Discovering a passion to cook, he furthered his education at a small French Culinary school in his hometown Rouen. His life changed when a work opportunity brought him to the US. Moving to Charlottesville in 1992, Thomas worked alongside a French Chef for 7 years and has now been a professional Chef for 25 years. Thomas joined the Glenmore team in 2018 after managing The Market at Grelen. In his spare time he enjoys a nice round of golf and coaching field hockey.
Andrew comes to us from PRG Hospitality Group, owners of Lincoln/Teddy and The Bully Bar in Washington, DC. He also was Director of Events at Society Fare in Alexandria. Andrew is originally from Nelson County and he and his dog, Clara, are happy to be back in the area. Andrew will be setting up catering and club events and working with Tyler Rae on weddings.
Dining Room Manager
Sue has been a part of the Glenmore team for 23 years and is known for her welcoming presence in the Grill. She served as Banquet Manager for 15 years prior to assuming her role as Dining Room Manager. Her bright smile, years of experience and dedication are among the many reasons our members think so highly of Sue. When she’s not here brightening everyone’s day, she’s usually with someone who brightens hers - her granddaughter!
