Sunday Couples Golf - Every Sunday at 2pm except Holidays and Tournament Days. The Golf Pros present a different game each week.
Ladies Happy Hour Golf - Tuesdays 6-7pm. This six-week program is for novice golfers. Includes instruction, golf clubs and your first beverage!
Tuesday Morning Clinics - Ladies Instructional series covering Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Irons and Woods. Tuesdays 10-11am.
Thursday Morning Clinics - Men’s Instructional series covering Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Irons and Woods. Thursdays 10-11am.
Short Game School - Two day golf school with 5 hours of instruction covering all aspects of the short game including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker and lob shots. 2-5:30pm.
Glenmore Golf School - Two day golf school with 10 hours of instruction covering all aspects of the game, 9 holes each day with a golf professional in your group, golf club distance analysis and a dinner at the grill. 1-6pm.
Meet The Pros
Director of Golf
Jack moved to the Charlottesville area at age 4, when his father John accepted the golf professional position at Farmington Country Club. After graduating from Albemarle High School with the 1975 State Team Golf Championship, Jack attended Georgia Southern College on a golf scholarship. In 1985 he received his Class-A PGA status and became the head golf professional at Lake Monticello Golf Club where he served from 1985-1996. Jack served as director of golf instruction for the city of Greensboro at Bryan Park from 1996-1997 and moved to Goldsboro, N.C., as head professional at Walnut Creek Country Club from 1998-2005, then Director of Golf at Spring Creek Golf Club until May of 2010. Jack has been Director of Golf at Glenmore since May 2010 and is looking forward to a promising future at our spectacular facility. Jack became a PGA master professional in 1995 and is strongly committed to teaching the game of golf.
Director of Golf Instruction
Bill is a PGA and Jim McLean Certified Instructor who works with players of all skill levels. Bill’s students range from total beginners to PGA Tour Players. On top of having given hundreds of lessons using Science & Motion Puttlab, Bill is also TPI Certified, US Kids Certified, and a PING Certified Clubfitter. A graduate of Furman University, Bill worked at several clubs in the Atlanta area before teaching under Jim McLean at McLean's Golf School at Doral. Before joining the team at Glenmore, Bill served as Director of Instruction at Spring Creek.
Andrew grew up near Frederick, MD and has been in love with the game from an early age. A strong competitive record growing up led into a career by studying Professional Golf Management at Coastal Carolina University while also earning his degree in Marketing. As a new member of the PGA of America, he is excited to start his career at Glenmore CC.
